Allianz PNB Life has partnered with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) for its Food Rescue program

Allianz PNB Life has partnered with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) for its Food Rescue program. The program partners with food establishments, groceries, and manufacturers to donate unconsumed food (pre-prepared food items from hotels and restaurants) and unsold produce from groceries, convenience stores or manufacturers/producers of food items (meats, vegetables, and other food items) to donate to the partner communities.

SOS has a coordinated schedule of food pick-up and drop-off to ensure the safety of the food items, and the vans being used are equipped to handle food items. Collected food items are dropped off on the same day they are collected. AZPNBL's participation in the program includes support for 1 van and man-hours to help in the community supported by SOS.

The program has helped reduce hunger and contributed to the reduction of carbon emissions and pollution. Here is a video about SOS in Asia.
